dress-4dress-6I actually finished this dress about a month ago while wearing long sleeves was still bearable. It is really the last wintery dress of this year until the weather starts getting cold again because it is already pretty hot outside.I had made a princess jersey dress at the beginning of the year. I ended up wearing it a lot. Since then, I became a fan of jersey fabric as it is thick enough for cool weathers, easy to sew and feels great. So I could not stop myself from buying some more of it. I really liked the dark navy but wanted to add a bit of color by adding in the mustard.yellow-navydress-1IMG_4954-eds dress-9

I developed the dress pattern from a basic bodice block for knits. The top of the dress is like a wrap dress except it is sewn together with the skirt. I used mustard around the collar and also inside the pockets. It turned out to be a comfortable everyday dress. My husband was joking with me that the top part looks like a karate outfit and that I am a ‘yellow belt’, well he might be right 🙂
